The Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort consists of two buildings, one with 3 floors the other with 6, with a total of 488 rooms, 233 single, 231 double and 15 Junior Suites. The facilities include a spacious lobby with 5 lifts, a 24-hour reception, lifts, a currency exchange desk, Internet access, bicycle hire and a TV room. In addition, there are 5 bars, a newspaper stand, a shop, a hairdresser’s salon, a nightclub and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with highchairs for younger guests.

The Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort is located in the resort of Playa Blanca, on the Las Coloradas beachfront. From the hotel you can enjoy excellent views of the islands of Fuerteventura and Lobos, as well as some of the most spectacular sunsets of the area. Sports & Entertainment 
You will discover three freshwater swimming pools for adults and two children’s pools (one of each are heated during winter) in the resort’s grounds. There is also a sun terrace with sun loungers, pool table (with charge) and a basketball court. Children will love the playground and mini club (ages 4-12) that organises daily activities, games and mini discos.

Playa Blanca Lanzarote

At the southernmost tip of Lanzarote’s tortoise-shaped island, the holiday resort of Playa Blanca was once little more than a quaint little fishing village. The great thing about it and what marks its golden sands apart from other Lanzarote holiday resorts is the fact that it’s quite a recently developed resort, yet has retained much of its former charm as a small fishing village.

2kms west of Playa Blanca, Playa Flamingo beach is an attractive golden sand beach. Playa Blanca’s beach is also pleasant enough if you’re staying in the town centre, and handy for the restaurants and shops that line the pretty promenade. A lovely new promenade leads east to the small sheltered beach of Playa Dorada, which is great for small children. 3kms west of the centre, past Playa Flamingo, you’ll find Lanzarote’s finest golden white coves, known collectively as the Papagayo Beaches.

If you fancy getting away from the beach for a while, plenty of boats at the port offer excursions to Corralejo on the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, and the charming and undeveloped little islet of Los Lobos, just off Fuerteventura. There are also whale- and dolphin-watching trips available, which makes for a great day trip for the family. At Marina Rubicón there are opportunities for scuba diving in Lanzarote, sailing, tennis and even catamaran excursions.
