The 4-star Icelandair Hotel Reykjavík Natura offers “modern, tasteful rooms” and “very good service”, according to The Daily Telegraph. Facilities include a full-service spa with an indoor relaxation pool, a gym and a restaurant serving local cuisine. It also features artwork by local artists.

“Iceland is an inspiring mix of magisterial glaciers, bubbling hot springs and rugged fjords,” says Rough Guides.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Perlan museum, where you can learn about Iceland’s natural wonders and take in impressive views of the city. A shuttle bus runs from the hotel to the city centre, which you can reach on foot in 20 minutes. There, you can explore Laugavegur, Reykjavík’s main shopping street, and the famous Hallgrímskirkja church.
