What is known today as the Casas Rurales Santa Catalina in Hermigua, La Gomera, was a hundred years ago one of the most bountiful banana plantations in the north of Gomera. It is situated between the banana plantation landscape and the blue sea. The houses have been restored maintaining their original charm, with their high ceilings and using predominantly wood crafted by the local carpenters. These houses are situated at 5 minutes’ walk from the beach of Hermigua. They offer rustic, charming accommodation with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Teide.
