The Center Hotel Plaza is on Ingólfur Square in Reykjavík’s Old Town, which is famous for its colourful houses, bustling harbouside and the serene Lake Tjörnin. Facilities include a lobby bar, a patio garden and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel is less than 15 minutes’ walk from the iconic stainless steel Sun Voyager sculpture, the “magnificent” (Rough Guides) Hallgrímskirkja church and the “eye-catching” (The Daily Telegraph) Harpa Concert Hall on the harbour.

If you choose a Northern Lights tour, it will last approximately three hours. You’ll be taken to a viewing location based on the most up-to-date weather and solar-activity reports. Tours are weather dependent and if you don’t see the lights on your first night, you will get another chance the next night.

If you choose a Golden Circle excursion, you’ll visit three of Iceland’s biggest natural attractions — the Geysir geothermal area, the Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park. You’ll also take a guided tour of Reykjavík to see the city’s sights.

Centrally located on Ingólfstorg Square in Reykjavik’s Old Town, Center Hotel Plaza offers a bright, cosy bar and a popular breakfast buffet. The National Gallery and other attractions are within a few minutes’ walk. The modern guest rooms feature wooden floors, a minibar and satellite TV. Some also include a seating area and a flat-screen TV. Guests can check their email via the free in-room internet access.

The Center Hotel Plaza’s breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of hot and cold choices. After exploring the city, guests are welcome to unwind with a drink in the Plaza Bar, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a flat-screen TV.
