Side offers a seductive cocktail of sun, sea, sand and culture. You will be able to walk in the footsteps of history and stroll around the famous theatre. In fact, in the heart of Side you will find impressive, well-preserved Roman remains around every corner you turn. Old narrow streets lead down to the harbour providing Side with a charming village atmosphere. Long wide golden beaches extend for miles either side of the old town, dipping gently down to a shallow sea, making it very suitable for children. There is a great choice restaurants and bars, both here and on the waterfront and some excellent shopping in the back streets. In the old town, it's "open all hours" for carpets, jewellery, leather, brassware and all kinds of trinkets.
