Cala Dor or Cala d'Or is a well established holiday resort located on the south east coast of Mallorca that has largely avoided the excesses of large scale tourism development. In the main it has developed outwards rather than upwards and is certainly nothing like the Magaluf style high rise resorts of the south coast. Those wishing to explore the areas can take a 'champagne cruise' along the coastline, ride one of 3 mini-trains around the resort or to the picturesque village of Cala Mondrago with its two beautiful coves. On the Cala Gran Beach, hire a pedalo and peddle out to the yachts and boats bobbing about, whilst you sit back and gaze at the stunning scenery. There's also the infamous, fun packed "SeaRider" trip for the more adventurous! These can be booked from the Marina. Cala d'Or is known as the best shopping district on Majorca. The town's main shopping street, Avinguda Tagomago, is filled with fashionable boutiques, leather shops and galleries. .

Cala D'or Climate - Cala D'or has Mediterranean weather with hot dry summers and mild winters. July and August are very hot and sunny. October to December are the wettest months.
